History of Rawson Chapter

From the front cover of the first minute book in 1948:

- meet 2nd and 4th Mondays at 7:30 p.m. from October to April

                                                      8:00 p.m. May, June, and September

- petition fee    $5.00

- affiliation fee $2.00

- member dues $1.50 annually

- Secretary salary 50 cents per meeting

- lights and fuel custodian 50 cents per meeting

The minutes of Institution for Rawson Chapter was held in Findlay on July 17, 1948. This was an emergent session for the exemplification of the ritualistic work for the first time by the Grand Officers and the minutes stated that every Grand Officer was there. The chapter room at Findlay was filled beyond seating capacity as 447 members and petitioners awaited the entrance of the Grand Officers. 

After the obligation, officers were installed.

- altar Bible from the WGM

- American Flag from Findlay Chapter

- Star Point Pedestal covers from Ada Chapter

- Electa's Cup from Dunkirk Chapter

- Officer Jewels from Latham Chapter

- Broken Column from Mount Blanchard Chapter

- Two small altar Bibles from Wyandot Chapter

- Sheaf from Senate Chapter

- Crown and Scepter from Pearl Chapter

- Framed Signet and Ballot Box from Lincoln Chapter

- $10.00 from Bluffton Chapter

- a collection was taken for the new Rawson Chapter which amounted

   to $55.62

Rawson Chapter was proclaimed regularly instituted at 10:00 p.m.
